I attended the Blackboard Developers Conference in Las Vegas two weeks ago today. While there I was able to stay in a very nice hotel (the Venetian), watch a movie, and walk down the strip (all the while keeping my eyes on the horizon if you know what I mean). I also attended the conference and was very impressed and exited about hearing the first keynote speaker there, Dr. Michael Wesch.
Wesch talked about the state of the classroom today (focusing on a college level classroom) and what he has been doing to try to improve that state. The speech was very enlightening and I would love to be able to portray exactly what it was that I felt while he spoke about these possible classroom changes of the future.
Luckily I don't have to try to portray it. Today I received an email from the Blackboard conference group indicating that most of the sessions are available online now, including Dr. Wesch's keynote address. When you go to his address and it is finished loading, click on the 5th slide to start seeing his presentation. You will have to listen to slide 4 if you would like to see them introduce Wesch.
Enjoy! I sure did.
