Harris, Shayna and Kyle came this past weekend to visit. We were really excited to have our first visitors and we had tickets to Saturday afternoon's General Conference Session. I had everything planned, what time to leave, snacks, a babysitter, etc. Well, we didn't make it. We were late. I felt like one of the foolish virgins. Oh well. Then on top of that we didn't hear any of the other talks. So for next conference I will try to remember a few things:

1. Conference weekend is not the time to have friends and family (but it was really fun to see everyone)
2. Plan on leaving way in advance and be ready at least an hour before you plan to leave.
3. Between sessions plan something that can bring the spirit in the home (or at least not chase it away)
4. When kids are around don't expect to hear every talk and take what you can get.

On the good side, we had really good junk food, great company, and amazing chicken!
