Colorado and total exhaustion!

Last Wednesday I set out to Colorado Springs with my brother Kyle and sister Laura. My mom and dad were on their way to Huston so they were driving behind us. Anyways, we drove 8 hrs to Denver, went to Costa Bonita (not as big as I remember) and then to Colo Springs.

Thursday I got to meet up with some friends and just enjoy being "home" for the first time in 5 yrs. At the end of the day Laura and I went out to dinner with 3 newlyweds. It was kind of weird. She was about 3 or 4 yrs behind and I was 3 or 4 yrs ahead. We made a good couple my sister and I.

Friday we went to the Denver Temple for Ryan's wedding. It was a beautiful sealing and we enjoyed being there. My kids were crazy and Laura and Kyle were amazing. They were so helpful and I'm just so grateful for them. Patrick kept trying to sneak into pictures and Auretta was sticking her tongue out like Kiss the whole time. Chad flew into Denver that night, I was so grateful to see him!

Saturday Michael, Clarissa, Harris and Shayna got there and we went to the reception which was so much fun. We got to see so many friends from Woodland Park. And listen to the best toast from my little brother Harris. I was so proud of him. I even got a dance with my husband! And Patrick asked a little girl to dance without any help from us. He is like his mother in so many ways it scares me sometimes.

Sunday we went to Woodland Park Ward (my ward that I grew up in) and drove by the house. I cried a lot. Laura and Kyle just laughed at me and Chad said he was never going to bring my back. I was just so filled with love for the place I was raised and those who gave so many hours, tears and prayers for me. I'm truly blessed and grateful for my life and the way that it has turned out. It was very overwhelming to look at the place were I became who I am. Carrying my third child didn't help the situation much.

We enjoyed a BBQ with Ryan and his family and then had a great time with the Owens. They were a family that we spent many hours with growing up. It felt like no time had pasted.

Monday we went to the zoo, pet some giraffes (really we pet them, Cheyenne mountain zoo has the best giraffe exhibit.)

All in all it was a great visit, but I have to say, I'm crazy. I was so tired the whole time and my body just hurt. It is good to be home and will be so much better when Chad gets back from his business trip. And I will try to get some pictures up. I didn't take that many, but I will put up what I have.

One other note we found out that Clarissa and Shayna are both carrying little girls. That makes it two boys and two girls in the family.  I'm excited to buy some little dresses! (j/k chad)
