There is so much out there to learn. As I go through out my day to day life I am confronted time and again with different subjects and topics that seem interesting to me and that I have a desire to try to learn something more about.

It doesn't help that I work in a library. During a regular work day I pass many of the sorting shelves in the library, and I see title after title of things that interest me.

After reading a friend of mine's post on this very topic I decided to pick one new topic each week and learn something about it. If the topic remains intersting to me as I do so I may spend three or more hours that week learning about it. However, if the subject/topic is a bust I may only spend an hour. I have also decided to help me with this I will start blogging again and once a week I will "report" on what I have learned.

This goal (new crazy endevour (maybe I am going to die young, because this sounds like a mid-life crisis)) will prove a little more difficult when you take into account that I may be staring work on my masters this Fall semester (in two days) and will not have very much time for extra things in my life. I guess we will see how it goes. Wish me luck.
