"It will never happen to me"

Chad and I just got home from the Smith's in Provo. We were there for 3 hours.

Right after we got in line to check out we heard "Get down!" a couple of times from up front. And then heard gun shots. We are ok. But I just can't believe we were there. All I can say is I'm grateful almost everyone is ok (the man with the gun was shot down by the police, I really don't want to think about that part). And most of all I'm so grateful I didn't have a baby in my arms. Pretty scary. A light hearted note: when we got outside I realized I didn't have my wallet, but I did have my coupons.

Wow! That's scary. I'm glad you are both okay. Smith's in Provo? Yikes.

Scary! Glad you're okay. I hope there isn't too much residual stress.

NO WAY! where were the kids? That is sooooo crazy nobody ever thinks that something like that will happen! I would have nightmares for months to come. Maybe even look into getting my concealed weapons permit! It was a very small post for something so dramatic! Where are all the details? How many miles are you up to jogging now?

My kids were with my brother at the house. we just ran to the store for a few things. It was so surreal that it wasn't that bad. I was also able to help someone else out, so that took the pressure off me. I had to think about her so I didn't get to think about me. It only really hit me when I went back in the store to get my wallet and realized we were only 40 feet or so away from the guy. It was a very interesting experience but not one I would blog about in detail. I only use interesting for lack of a better word. I'm jogging a little over 10 a week. 3 or more at at time. This saturday is my first 5 miles. We'll see how that goes. you running, I read that you did 6 miles. I can't even imagine. ok, I can imagine but just barely.
