He finished the year with 8 teeth, the ability to stand, crawl really fast, say mamamamam, DA (it is always yelled) and yeah. oh, and clap, he is very proud of his clapping abilities.
I hated being pregnant 6 1/2 months after Auretta. I was an emotional mess, I did not want to be big, I didn't enjoy it at all!
But I am grateful everyday for this little boy and feel quite bad for hating that pregnancy so much. He is a sweet, wonderful, happy baby boy. He lights up our home. From the first day when I saw his side burns and dimples, I was head over heels. I can't put into words what this boy means to me, so I'm not going to try. Just know that I love him!
His birthday was fun. Honestly, I don't really get the first birthday thing. It is for the parents I know. But I look at my sweet angel and celebrate his birth. I don't need balloons, those are for my birthday. But the kids enjoyed going to the dollor store and picking out presents for him (and themselves). My brother Michael and Clarissa came down and I always love seeing them. The only other part that was just fun, was watching him dig into his cake. He didn't hesitate even for a second. He was quit annoyed by the whole singing and candle stuff. He loves chocolate cake. Just like his momma.
It was a good day to celebrate a wonderful life. I am sad to see the baby stage go, but excited to see what comes next.
