Hobble Creek Half

Well, I ran my race!

Do you have any idea how far 13.1 miles is? Apparently, it is a really long distance. There was a bus to take us from the finish line to the starting line before the race. And it kept going and going and going. And I started thinking, it needs to stop now. The lady next to me said the same thing. And then a guy on the other side of the bus said the same thing. But the bus kept going. Then finally it stopped. I thought, oh man, what have I got my self into? And then some crazy lady on the bus was like, "This is mile 3, you have to keep going." AHHHHH!!!!! So he started driving again. Finally he stopped and we got out. Then they told us we had to walk up another mile to the starting line!

But the Lord held my hand and I started running. I continued to run for 2 hours and 22 min. Ok, I went pee once, so that took some time. And I did walk a little in there. So I probably only ran for 2 hrs. HA! ONLY ran for 2 hrs. Am I serious? I made Chad drive the course so I could show him and Laura (my little sister) how far it was. The kids fell asleep and they got bored so they quit 3 or 4 miles before we made it all the way. Driving, they got bored driving! I can't believe I did this! It truly is quit amazing and I'm so proud of myself.

It has been an amazing experience of praying as if it were up to the Lord and then working as if it were up to me. And I hope to do it again.

pictures to come.
