Men take care of things,
Women take care of people,
When women leave to take care of things,
Who is left to take care of people?
Heard this while channel surfing today. And I think this is true. Now of course there are exceptions, there are exceptions to every rule. The hard part about taking care of people is the consequences of screwing up are higher and the benefits kind of stink. But things don't look up at you with big, brown eyes, smile and say, "I love you." Things don't laugh and play with each other. Things don't cry and ask for a hug. Things aren't eternal and precious. And even though today was like moving in a black cloud, I know I'm where I'm suppose to be, doing the greatest work. I am grateful to be a stay at home mom.
Now to remember that during the screaming.

Wow. No kidding.
Me, too.
I try and remember that too. It's easy to do when they're not around. Someday we'll get our kids together and we can be crazy together :) Love you!
Well said Maggie.
