My baby girl is 5 and preparing for kindergarten. I'm pretty wiped this year so we spent the day as a family. We drove up to Park City to visit an art exhibit that was all made of legos. It was pretty cool but very small. Then we went to a place called Monkey Mountain that we had groupons for. Basically it's a glorified Play Place. So naturally the kids had a great time. It was a simple but good day.
For her birthday we set up an art table in her room full of new crayons, markers, stamps, coloring books, etc. She spends a lot of her time creating now days. She makes I love you notes, birthday invitations, lists, and papers full of our family's names including Olive.
She is so eager to read and write. She has turned into my big helper. She loves being Jessie's big sister (although Jessie doesn't always appreciate the extra help). She still sings and dances, more so when she is tired. When our house turns into a musical we know it is Auretta's bedtime. I LOVE when she gets tired! I just love my princess. She is a light in my life.
p.s. All our recent pictures are on Chad's phone so one of these days I'll remember to blog while he is home and try to get some on here.
