Olive has stage 5 hydronephrosis on her left kidney caused by reflux. In other words, her bladder is leaking back up the ureteral into her kidney and stage 5 is the worst it can be categorize on a scale of 1 to 5. From my google searches it looks like there are two possible outcomes. Either they will decide to watch it closely (aka lots of tests) in hopes it will heal its self, or she'll need surgical intervention.

Until it is fixed she will be on amoxicillian to prevent an infection. If an infection were to develop and leak back into the kidney it could damage the kidney. But other than that, we aren't doing anything differently right now.

I won't know more until we meet with a specialist from primary children's on June 19th.

I feel at peace about it all; no need to worry right now. But we would appreciate any prayers for our little gal.
