July is a fun month in the Hansen home. Starting with Jessie's birthday on the 1st and ending with David's on the 31st. Mine and lots of extended family falls in between.

Jessie turned 2 and right on target has been very curious and making lots of fun messes. But she's so dang cute I can't do anything except think she's adorable. Plus there are benefits to being #4, I've calmed down a lot. She is starting to talk and mimic what we say. But I'm telling you, the way she looks at us and makes noises, she's talking, just not in English. We invited Kyle and Ashley to come over. Because Kyle and Jessie not only share a special bond, but the same birthday too. When it turned out they couldn't make it Auretta asked, "Is Kyle coming?" I said, "No, he can't make it." Then she said, "Is Ashley coming?" "No." "Do they do everything together?"

"We made lady bug cup cakes and she got a fun bouncy ball bigger than her. I picked it out while she was at the store with me. I love when I can buy their presents right in front of them; it only last so long. I'm sure grateful for that cute kumquat!

My birthday was fun. Well, of course it was fun, I planned it! We had cake at home with the kids and I opened presents. But the real treat was going to the water park with Chad. I love water, I love rides, I love dates. So it was really fun. But most of all I'm pleased to announce that David (and I) survived the dreaded 3rd year! He's officially 4! He uses more of his loud energy to bring laughter and less to theatrically tantrums. Yippie!!! In all seriousness, my life was so boring without him. Now it is filled with silliness, random spouts of noise, dimples, and laughter. He is...well....he's David. And we love him so much.
