Camper Adventures and Trappers

We went to Trappers! And it was amazing! Mom and Dad came with Janeia, Rosie and Janeia's friend. Michael and his family came. Harris with Hailee and McKenzie came. Shayna is due in about a month so she keeped Ainsley and stayed at home. Kyle and Ashley came. And all of my family. It was so much fun to have everyone there! We missed the few who couldn't make it.

On top of that, many other relatives came. And we had a Trappers first, there was a wedding. My cousins daughter got married. It was pretty. My two favorite quotes from the wedding was, "Go put your fishing pole up, wash you hands and come back to the wedding!" and Harris telling his daughter, "Get your face out of the dirt!" Good times.

All the cousins had a great time with each other. Janeia helped them build a fairy fort. It was so fun to see them enjoy the out doors.

My favorite part was watching all my brothers, dad and husband throw rocks, push over trees, wrestle inst dirt over a cup of orange juice, and just act like boys.

We took the camper and it provided us some growing opportunities. About 20 minutes past Meeker, a tire blew. We pulled off on a dirt road and realized Chad couldn't possible change it by himself. So I said go check that cabin to see if you can call someone. But it turned out to be someone who had a small shop and 5 men willing to help him. Answers to prayers. And opportunities to say, "Yep, they're all ours!"

Then up at camp someone pointed out a dangerous situation with one of the other tires. So we prayed and were frustrated. But the Lord allowed us to spend our time there in peace. I mean, peace settled over us and we didn't worry about it. The feeling of peace is a great thing.

On the day we left, Chad went first by himself to Meeker. My mom drove me down with the kids later. He got it there safe and found a place to fix it in a few hours for $260. We counted ourselves grateful. But at this point my prayer for the way home had changed. Instead of, please bless that we'll be safe and the camper won't break. It became, I trust that is something is going to happen, it will be where and when You'd have it happened so that we can be blessed.

So when another tire blew an hour and a half from home, we laughed. Well, not at first. we smelt gas and got the kids out at quickly as possible. We soon realized that the tire has hit and disconnected the pipeline from the gas tank to the engine. But with all of us standing on the side of the road and me in the middle of a ok-I-trust-you-Lord prayer, a nice couple pulled over and offered to drive us home. They were headed to Provo. So we squished in the back with kids on our laps and headed home.

The Spirit didn't tell us how to avoid this situations, but highlighted the tender mercies in my mind and Chad's. And because of that it became a testimony building experience that we got to share with Patrick. We still lost a lot of money and it was still hard, but our faith grew. And in the end, that's what matters most.
