We dropped off Kyle on Wednesday at the MTC. Of course I was emotional about the whole thing. My baby brother is all grown up! I wish I could say I got a picture, but I didn't. He was pretty quite the whole day until we passed his friend at the MTC and he said, "Hey, there's Eric, I have to go kick him in the eye." A classic Kyle statement! My mom and I both agree that kicking them out at the curb is tons better than the long goodbye. I can't believe David will be 2 before I get to see that crazy kid again. I look forward to the letters and anyone who knows Kyle knows that they will be extremely uplifting and entertaining.
The next day I went to the zoo with my mom, Janeia, Rosy and the kids. It was a lot of fun. They have a baby elephant, which isn't on display yet, snow leopard, 3 baby tigers and a giraffe! The adults were in hog heaven with the tigers. The kids were way past ready to move on before we could go. We would get ready to leave and then they would move and we had to stop and watch. The kids went on the carousel and had a good time. Except Auretta, she freaked out. Once it started going Janeia had to hold her and she held on like a little monkey. I got her attention and waved to her. She was brave enough to lift one little hand 3 inches off of Janeia to give mom a wave, pretty cute.
Last weekend we went camping with the ward. We had a good time, or I had a good time. Patrick was up all night and Chad was mad that the tent ripped (who can blame him). But I always enjoy the fresh air. Plus I got kudos from the women in my ward for camping with a newborn. But personally, they are the easiest to camp with. I don't have to bring food, worry about messes, them running away or getting cold because he sleeps with me. (But I do worry about a blow out). Well, here are some pictures of our adventures and the first few of all 3 kids.
