Trappers Lake and the Head Crack!

So, we went camping at Trappers Lake Colorado this year. I would have thought that Maggie would have been all over this, getting it online for all to see. But she hasn't so I'm going to. Following are some pictures from the trip. Be warned the last one is not for the faint of heart. We had some fun while we were there and I did something stupid. I was trying to break a log by jumping on it and I fell backwards and hit my head on a rock behind me. I cracked my head and there was a lot of blood. The closest hospital was a hours drive away. But we made it, I got 6 staples put in my head and we continued camping. I'm OK. It just really hurt. The last image is right after the staples were put in. On a lighter note, Patrick caught his first fish. Maggie's cousin Ethan actually caught it, but then let Patrick reel it in. I think he liked it, but he didn't want to touch it. It was funny.
We are all ready to go. Patrick is already tired

Very fun. Love the shot of the little one chewing on a stick. Totally something I'd let my kids do.

Sorry about the head. I hope it heals quickly and that you learned a very valuable lesson. You've just given your wife a great story to tell at parties.

JEALOUS!!!! I would even take the stitches to go to Trappers. Dave did something similar at Trappers. He was walking on a log after it rained, and thought, hey logs are slippery when they are wet, about then he went down, hit his back and could hardly walk the rest of the trip. What lengths you guys will go to , to get out of Trappers. But I have to say, in all the years, I have never seen the inside of Meeker's ER.

Attention. Ignore Janet's comment about someone falling off a log. At least I didn't get stitches for a cracked rib. Ouch Chad! You and I had best stay home :) Get better soon. I'm jealous I couldn't go with ya'all to Trappers. I miss the place.
